The Conquering Lamb of God

Revelation 17:14
They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”

We have been looking over this summer at the portions of scripture where Jesus the Christ, the very Son of God, who also as the son of man became the sacrificial lamb, given by The Father and as the lamb of God, took upon himself the sins of the world; slain by His own outside the camp/city/temple,; died He for them, you and I who believe He is indeed the very Lamb sent of God, who is now risen and standing at the Fathers right this day in the throne room of the Almighty; our advocate, until it is time for His return as the conquerering Lamb, King of kings and Lord of lords, returning to close out this age in preparation for the True New World Order; where there can be no darkness, only the fullness of His glory. Amen?

Herman opened the series with the throne room scene; where Jesus, the lamb, slain,  is declared by all there; the 4 living creatures, the 24 Elders and myriads upon myriads of angels; worthy…

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!” Rev. 5:12b

And this is why, we gather every Sunday morning, not because we were instructed too,
and to this we are greatful for He knows our hearts and how we fail to put Him first in our lives,
but we come desiring to remember and give Him praise, and the glory He and only He deserves from us, for whom He was sacrificed, resurrected and now rests for awhile as our King & Lord at the Fathers right hand.

We were then introduced to Jesus as the Lamb of God through John the beloved, with the declaration by John the Baptist in Jn 1:29; "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"
Followed by Peters declaration in 1 Peter 1:19 to the scattered,  that this Jesus, the sinless Lamb of God, Ransomed them, " with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot." 1 Peter 1:19

We again were entreated to reflect on the Throne room of God, where it was revealed to John the beloved, the awesome scene with our Saviour,
Revelation 5:6
"And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, " Only He was found worthy to open the scroll of judgement.

And again, to another precious throne room scene where it is revealed that the numberless multitude of tribulation saints will have as their shepherd and guide this Lamb…
Revelation 7:17
For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,
and he will guide them to springs of living water,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

We were then given to reflect upon this Precious, spotless, slain, Lamb of God as the bridegroom; prophesied of by Jesus Himself in Mt 9 to the disciples of John the Baptist and declared at the introduction of the New Jerusalem, In Rev. 21:9
“Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

Also from Rev. 21; were are informed that this Lamb in the New Jerusalem is the Temple and the light of the city;
Revelation 21:22-25
"And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb.
And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.
By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there."

Oh how awesome that will be be!

And we Will close out this series with Revelation 17:14
"They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”

This Lamb, the Precious, spotless, slain, resurrected Lamb of God; our bridegroom, will finalize the putting away of all darkness as the Conquering Lamb, the true King of kings and Lord of lords,
Revelation 19:9
And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”
These are the "called and chosen and faithful.”  of our passage this morning; the formation of the blood bought army of The King of kings and Lord of lords, our bridegroom the slain and resurrected Lamb, now revealed in Revelation 19:11-16;
" Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.
He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.
And the armies of heaven, ( that's us ) arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.
From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords."

When we think of lambs, the last thing we would fathom is this scene.
Lambs are cute, cuddly, tame, innocent; easily lost, needing at all times a shepherd;  defenseless, they are easy pickings by the ferrous carnivores that prey on them; yet our Saviour; described " like a lamb; Isaiah 53:7
7 "He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
 yet he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth."
Like a lamb, he endured it all, so that we would live, and yet He is also the Lamb who will conquer them, that war against Him,  for he is the Lord of lords and King of kings, and those of us with Him are the called, the chosen and faithful bride.”

Praise the name above all names, Jesus !

Walk in the Spirit

Andrew murray writes:
Scripture teaches us that there are but two conditions possible for the Christian. One is a walk according to the Spirit, the other a walk according to 'the flesh'. These two powers are in irreconcilable conflict with each other. So it comes to pass, in the case of the majority of Christians, that, while we thank God that they are born again through the Spirit and have received the life of God - yet their ordinary daily life is not lived according to the Spirit but according to 'the flesh'. Paul writes to the Galatians: 'Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?' (Gal. 3.3). Their service lay in fleshly outward performances. They did not understand that where 'the flesh' is permitted to influence their service of God, it soon results in open sin.
So he mentions not only grave sins as the work of 'the flesh', such as adultery, murder, drunkenness; but also the more ordinary sins of daily life - wrath, strife, variance; and he gives the exhortation: 'Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh... If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit' (Gal. 5.16, 25). The Spirit must be honoured not only as the author of a new life but also as the leader and director of our entire walk. Otherwise we are what the apostle calls 'carnal'.

WhoSoEver you are, this is for you

John 3:16

You see it everywhere, did you ever wonder what it is all about ?

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Okay so that is the famous verse, let's look closer at it and see how it was written for you and me.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world ( that's everyone, noone is excluded; God Loves You) that He ( God the Father) gave His one and only Son ( Jesus ), that whosoever ( that's you again ) believes in Him ( God ) shall not perish but have eternal life."

There you have it God Loves you !

Next time we'll look a little deeper at this life changing passage.

God Bless you!
